Terms of Service

Last updated 2026-11-05. These terms govern your use of the AI Clipper desktop application and the cloud analysis service.

1. Who we are

2. The service

AI Clipper analyzes videos you provide and proposes highlight edits. The desktop app runs on your computer; the AI analysis runs on our servers. You need a license key, which we email after purchase.

A license key is bound to one account and may be activated on up to 5 devices. Do not share your key publicly: anyone who has it can spend your credits.

3. Credits and billing

• Credits are prepaid. 1 credit = USD 1 and 10 credits cover 30 minutes of newly analyzed footage.
• Footage is billed per 30-minute block, rounded up. Re-analyzing the same footage with the same settings is free.
• Failed or cancelled analyses are not charged.
• Your balance is checked before an analysis starts; if it is too low the job is refused rather than started and interrupted.
• Credits do not expire and are not transferable between accounts.

4. Your content and your rights

You keep all rights to the footage you upload and to the edits the service produces for you. You grant us a limited license to store and process that footage solely to provide the service, for the retention periods in the Privacy Policy.

You must have the right to submit the footage. Wedding and event footage usually contains personal data of third parties (the couple, guests, children). It is your responsibility to have the necessary permissions from your clients before submitting it, and to tell them that automated analysis is used.

5. Acceptable use

You may not: submit unlawful content; resell, sublicense or redistribute the application; circumvent credit accounting, device limits or rate limits; reverse engineer the application except as permitted by mandatory law; or use the service to build a competing analysis product.

6. Our intellectual property

The application, its models and its documentation remain ours. Outputs generated for you may be used by you for any lawful purpose, including commercial delivery to your clients.

7. AI results are suggestions, not guarantees

Analysis is probabilistic. Shot selection, scene classification and highlight ranking can be wrong. You are responsible for reviewing the final edit before delivering it to a client.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue the service we will give you a reasonable period to export your work and refund unused credits.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend an account for abuse, non-payment, chargebacks or attempts to bypass billing. You may stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account.

10. Warranty and liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (including for death, personal injury or fraud).

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong SAR, and the courts of Hong Kong SAR have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
